an awesome birthday with a not so awesome ending.
So… My birthday was fantastic! I had no idea everyone would have so much fun at karaoke. Karaoke always seemed like some geeky thing that I never thought a lot of people would enjoy. but everyone was really into it, it was really awesome. Everyone who was like, “I’m not going to sing” sang and had a really good time. I think my favourite moment was when Ramsay did a duet with a girl at a random table then went to her table. stumbled on a chair then stumbled and fell on her. it was pretty hilarious. I think the only draw back to the venue was that people sang at their tables rather than on the stage, which was really annoying. almost everyone who RSVP’d showed up! and surprisingly Jeremy showed up and brought some of his friends along too. Most of my friends made it out it was an amazing night I would definitely do it again. it got awkward when people kept asking where Gavin was which made me a bit sad. When I left Jono and Ramsay were still singing away and Jeremy and his friends were having a great time! when I got home I was decently drunk and could collapse into bed and prepare for a busy/lazy sunday.
except.
Jono messaged me at 3am and told me that Jeremy’s friends dine and dashed and left Ramsay to cover a $100 dollar bill. I called Ramsay and he said he was cool about it, but I didn’t think that was okay. I couldn’t believe what had happened so I called Jeremy and he told me that all his friends had paid when they left so the restaurant must have messed up and got Ramsay to double pay.
I went to bed feeling absolutely terrible. I didn’t know if it was my fault or not because I didn’t invite Jeremy’s friends and I didn’t even know Jeremy was coming. what was worse is that I really didn’t have $100 to give to Ramsay to make up for it. so I felt even worse because maybe I was being stingy.
the next day I got a text from Jeremy saying: “So apparently when I thought Kostas and them had paid because their wasn’t any bill on their table, it was actually just that they brought everyone except them their bill. I had no suspicion of them honestly. but it turns out they did just leave because they were the ones who asked for the bill, and me and mattie were the ones who got ours,. I’m terribly sorry and kostas is going to call and find out how much they owe so they can pay it. needless to say i wont be inviting that group out again anytime soon. Whats worse is that I honestly can’t believe Trish of all people would do something so immature. They didnt even tell us they were doing it they just said they were going to wait for us outside. I could have paid easily if Ramsay had left first. and Kostas doesn’t even seem sorry or anythinf, all he said was “we didn’t think theyd try to charge someone else”…not impressed..if you can find out from Ramsay how much they owe that’d be helpful.”
So i’ve been spending most of today trying to sort out how to get the money from Kostas (who I know and I am VERY upset with) and Trish (whom Ive never met) from Jeremy to me to Ramsay. Kostas called me and told me he was sorry to inconvenience me and that Ramsay had to pay but he didn’t seem too sorry that he stiffed the restaurant. He seemed to feel they deserved it for being slow with his bill. (I am not even going to get into how much bullshit that is). Kostas said he would personally take the money to Ramsay which would be helpful. I just hope it actually happens. but I’ll keep pestering.

so my boss is telling people how frustrated she is with how incompetent i am at my job. Awesome. Now if only she would tell me……. I hate my job. I want to quit. I shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of stress at work. She shouldn’t be telling people about my conduct. especially since she wont tell me. I’m tired of feeling like i’m terrible at my job. 6 more months then i’ll be free.
